A solution to a major issue affecting the pulp industry
SAGE was founded in Brazil in 1978. After obtaining a degree in Mechanical Engineering our founder and CEO, Marcio Gerep, along with Jungbauer Schweisstechnik (Germany), developed a solution to a major issue affecting the pulp industry at the time. This successful solution led to the expansion of the company to the USA in 1985.

We took on the challenge of solving an issue that has been inherent to steel manufacturing with EAFs since 1907. To further elevate EAFs, we boldly worked towards all-encompassing improvements for the process, including the overarching problem faced by all energy-intensive industries today: more efficient use of energy and water, and reducing carbon emissions.
